Associate
Prof Savage initially trained at Monash University in the '80s
with a PhD in experimental psycholinguistics, and developed an
interest in neuropsychology while on an MRC postdoctoral fellowship
at Birkbeck College, University of London. He subsequently studied
for his MSc in Clinical Neuropsychology at The University of Melbourne
and he has since combined clinical practice in psychiatric and
neuroscience settings with neuropsychological research, mainly
on memory and language. He took up a research position at MACCS
in 2007, and will have a principle role in developing a clinical
neuropsychology service at Macquarie University Private Hospital,
which is due to open in 2009. He provides neuropsychological services
to patients of Macquarie Neurosurgery and associated neurologist
colleagues.
